NEW GEOTRAX ITEMS:
Today I found the instruction sheet for a new piece called Grand Central Station which includes a new train, as well as two additional brand new trains. All three new engines are the new forward/reverse type. And these are the first sets to include "people figures" as well. Here are some details: L3133 - Grand Central Station, includes new train engine with windshield that can be opened, concourse, escalator, crane, cargo ramps, a bunch of track including a gradual descending curve piece (similar to MHM, but looks slightly different), and at least one people figure. This train looks much like the Crosstown Express-type trains. http://service.mattel.com/instruction_sheets/L3133pr-0920.pdf L4799 - Rail & Road System Remote Control Set with Bull & Bruno - This is a very cool looking freight train that comes with crates and at least one people figure. The design of this train looks a lot like "Geo". http://service.mattel.com/instruction_sheets/L4799pr-0920.pdf L4800 - Rail & Road System Remote Control Set with Alpine & Will - This looks like some kind of "winter" train, with a big snow plow on the front end. Looks like a totally new design. It's shown with one figure, but I'm not sure if Alpine and Will refer to two people. http://service.mattel.com/instruction_sheets/L4800pr-0920.pdf L5888 - There's a new TRU version of the Lift N Load Quarry. It's the same as the regular Quarry, except it includes a people figure. http://service.mattel.com/instruction_sheets/L5888pr-0920.pdf There's no information as to when these will be released, but keep an eye out for them. Happy hunting, erodger Attach file: grandcentral.gif (64.51 KB)![]()

What fun!!! The Grand Central Station looks like it's going to be really great and the new trains that go forward and backward are cool. I'm just wondering what's the deal with the people? I suppose my son will really like putting the little guys in the engines, but I liked Geotrax without people. Just my personal opinion. If anyone finds out when these are going to be released I'd love to know!

LOVE IT! I also agree that there shouldn't be people. I'm making a video with pictures of the new items. (It will be up soon!) Here are the pros and cons with the new items.
PROS: Everything! CONS: People.

What I am noticing with the Grand Central Station is that the switches are siding switches, instead of the regular 90degree switches that we all have. I have to believe these will be sought after.

AWESOME!
This is the first really significant new set that I have seen since I started following the line a year ago. I personally think the line will sell better with people in it. They look to be the same size and probably compatible with the IMAGINEXT line. I had already noticed that some of the Imaginext crates were an identical shape to the geotrax crates. I would love to see a combination of these two lines of products.

I am so glad that it has been released. I was waiting for some one else to find out about the new bendy people so I could talk about it with you guys. That for me is so exciting. the people. I have been using little people up to this point. I was able to product test these new things out. The splitter tracks are indeed more parallel and will offer more fun fun fun. What is bugging me is that I bought the quarry a month or two ago and now I feel the "Need" to purchase another just because it has a guy in it....ugh. I will win the battle, of course my living room may not survive any new additions. I don't know if i got the idea from here or not...but now I have to keep my trains cat-fur free and put away in a under the bed box. I used to well FEB 07 have all the trains all out all the time, I got too worried that the fur would clog their axels.

I picked up the GC set on Firday for my girls this weekend. We have a pretty big set (though nothing compared to some of you). I have 2 daughters 3 and 7 and a Neice and Nephew 9 and 5 and they all have a blast playing with GeoTrax. They absilutlely loved the new People figures...I guess I'll need to get more of those. I was a bit dissapointed in thee new train. It stopped working after about 30 minutes, and I can not revivie it. Will be calling FP CS shortly. I was able to use the new switch tracks for a pretty nifty layout, will post pics later.
