Oil Rig is cool. So how close is that to general shape of the Radio Tower I have here GeoTrax Radio Tower Instructable.
I understand the fire at the top would be an add on.
Also what about the oil pumps that look like birds like this Oil Rig.
It could either be constantly running or only when a train goes by.

A friend of mine just gave my boys some of her older retired GeoTrax for Christmas. My boys adore the lighthouse. They love that there is a sensor in it that knows when the trains go through and then turns on the lights and the sounds!

We need more stuff with lights and motion.

I agree that lights, motion and sound are the trifecta of a good "Geo Motion" piece. Making something that is train powered is not trivial, but making something that is train activated (like the Light House, the clock tower, the rainbow bridge) is.
So given that we want these things, are we willing to build them ourselves or pay for people to build them? Asking FP could work, but it would be on their time line.
I posted links on how to make two models for GeoTrax and would be happy to make more if people wanted to make them themselves. On the other hand, I would be happy to make them for people, if they wanted to buy them.

The models are here:

GeoTrax Outhouse Model

Thoughts?

I would like a trestles like both of the images.

Type "A" would be great for a level 3 bridge. (2 elevation supports up)

Type "B" would be nice for a long level 2 bridge.

Thank you for the feedback. Based on What I have seen here and on other forums I think that type B can be done as a "clip on" for two pieces of straight track like some people do with Guard Rails.

Type "A" would probably be a foam core project like my other projects. The Trick would be to make it compatible with the risers.

Thanks again for the feedback.

Hey Scott, instead of going wider, what about narrower? I made these for my son's Geotrax set. They're made from a cut down closet rod and some leftover strips of 1/2" birch plywood. I made some with a slightly wider base and some with a small square base. I think I could have cut the rod a 1/2" longer and not even used a base and it would still work fine. It works great for a single level, but I need to come up with a way to make them stackable. Might add dowels and holes or ?. I was thinking the next level up would be made out of a strip of the plywood 1" wide. I would use 2 pcs about 4" long and a crossbar 3" long. It would look like a capital letter "H" with the crossbar raised to hold the track at the "Geo standard" 4" spacing. A project for another day!

My son got a road track pack for his birthday last week, it had a gray cross piece with TEETH going both ways! YEA!! Unfortunately, they cheapened up this new gray track. It's made like the black Cars track. BOOO!!
