New Paint Aero & Eric slipping? [Forums - Products]

For some reason our "New Paint" Aero and Eric's wheels keep slipping whenever is goes over an intersection in the track. He keep derailing around the corner of Mt. Blast too. Anyone else having this problem?

I called FP and like always, their customer service was stellar. They said they haven't heard of that problem and were going to send me a voucher for the price I paid to either get another one or a different engine.

Now, I just have to decide which way to go? Anyone else?

We don't have that problem with new Aero. But I have noticed that if a train is pulling a long trail of cars, they have trouble going over the cross track. Nothing for them to grip on I guess.

We just got Phantom and Mr. E.S. We like them - no problems. I'm not too happy with Steamer (going to try to put a weight in him to see if it helps). Hauler and Rob (is that right) seem to be built like Steamer, so I'm going to avoid them unless I can fix steamer to not come off the tracks.

My Phantom & Mr. E.S, the Merriest Team, Steamer & Samuel and Hauler and Big Rob do fine on our track. Our new Aero & Eric are the only problem ones.

Sounds like we have the exact opposite problem. I'm sure some of it might be due the different ways we are setting up the track layouts. Our Aero is having problems with EVERY intersection though.

How did adding the weights work on your Steamer engine?
